Why Llandudno?

In 1861, the real Alice Liddell, the young girl who inspired Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, came to Llandudno with her family for a seaside holiday. The Liddells spent 11 summers here, at their summer house called Penmorfa on the West Shore.

Finding Alice reimagines that connection as a real-world adventure across the town where Alice herself once explored.

Had a fantastic time completing the Finding Alice experience yesterday. We had downloaded the pdf before we went but only needed to refer to it once as the phone signal worked almost the whole way round! Clearly lots of work has gone into creating the experience and it was a good mix of different types of puzzles and riddles. Great to see different places around Llandudno. Appreciated that you can change the start time etc once booked as that added flexibility around the weather. Something different to do and had the added bonus of getting lots of steps in too!

We absolutely loved it!! So much fun and so well thought out!! Loved how local businesses got involved!! The signal in Llandudno is a pain but that's nothing to do with the incredible organisation of the trail. They advise to download the booklet in advance for when the signal dies and this helped us through! Amazing!! Thanks so much!

An amazing way to remind ourselves what a great little town we live in. It was the perfect way of blending the story of AiW with visiting some of our other fabulous destinations - museums, galleries, hotels... The resources were extremely professionally put together, and the clues were the perfect mix of being easy enough to keep my 12 yo engaged, but hard enough to keep me on my toes.

Brilliant experience that really immerses you into the fabric of Llandudno. Although it's self-directed around town using your phone, you get to interact with some lovely people at several of the stops along the way. You can go at your own pace: we had to dip out part way through to do a distillery tour booked for 3pm, and then we joined back up with the hunt for Alice when we were done. (That's why our elapsed time was so long, which I can only assume is the reason we weren't top of the leaderboard.)

This is excellent!!! Highly recommended! It took us to places we didn't even realise there were in Llandudno. All the businesses involved were brilliant....smiles all round when we asked our questions in the most elaborate way we could! The after sales service was second to none! We had a techy issue and dealt with the same brilliant person until it was resolved. Very refreshing these days in a world when people usually take the money and run!. You get all the equipment you need provided. We recommend downloading the PDF as advised as you are likely to need it. We would highly recommend this tour. Go find Alice....but beware the queen's spies! You'll never look at them the same again!!
